SAT

SAT is desigend to measure overall rediness for undergraduate courses. The SAT is wholly owned, developed, and published by the College Board, a private, not-for-profit organization in the United States.The SAT takes three hours to finish, plus 50 minutes for the SAT with essay.Scores on the SAT range from 400 to 1600, combining test results from two 200-to-800-point sections: Mathematics, and Critical Reading and Writing. Students receive their online score reports approximately two to three weeks after test administration (longer for mailed, paper scores). The SAT is an exam that universities use to assess a student’s college readiness. Originally called the “Scholastic Aptitude Test,” the SAT is made by a company called The College Board.

SCORING THE TEST

The SAT is scored on a 1600-point scale, with the Math and the Reading/Writing sections each awarded between 200 and 800 points. The optional essay is evaluated separately and doesn’t factor into the overall score. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so it’s always better to guess if you’re not sure.
